We went over to the other house to shovel it out and check on it. The driveway is at least 100 feet long, and since we didn't do anything to it after the last couple of snowfalls, there were drifts that were 3-4 foot high. Fortunately, we were able to dig out the snow plow's mess and about ten feet... then I locked down the 4-wheel drive on my monster truck and drove right up the driveway, backing up and repeating until it stomped it down enough. We had to dig out the drain pump by the garage door for when the snow melts (in July)... and the sidewalk. There were huge icicles hanging from the roof. What's really great about this snow is that, while shoveling it, you can see the blue tint to the clean water that formed the snow... either that or the Avatar people are coming. With a pathway into the house, now I have no excuse to get out of going over there and continuing with the painting. Argh.

Home is Where the Snow Is
My Mom had a lot of sayings that I'm sure she made up just to agitate people... one of them, 'You look like a Russian Christmas on a Wednesday night" meant that your outfit didn't match or was a mess. That's my Dad. Sporting his multi-80's-colored-poofy-crinkled jacket, his knee wader rubber boots and his flourescent orange hunting hat (click on picture to get the full affect)... the only reason that Project Runway would call him is if they needed a big project.
