- When a boy, he climbs the tree and swings on the branches and plays and the tree was happy.
- When a teen, the boy needs money and the tree offers it's apples to sell and the tree was happy.
- When a young man, he needs somewhere to live and the tree offers it's branches to build a house and the tree was happy.
- When an older man, he needs to get away from his life and needs a boat so the tree offers it's trunk and the tree was happy.
- When an old man, he is tired... and the tree has nothing left to give him since it was down to a stump now.... and the man sits down and rests... and the tree was happy.
Sometimes, people don't need a lot in their lives and giving a gift is a gift in itself.
I want clear up some shit . The person pissed at David that put him under the bus the other day. Have a set of balls and show yourself. You may not like sertain things that David writes about his life but then you should not read his blog. My name is Matt Menzel and am Pissed that people and you know who you are cant man up . You got something to say say it with your name. David and i as friends may not always get along but what you have writen with out a name is week in every way. You want to bring it you will need to go through several of us. We may have bad times but we stick together just to let you know. Bring it.

ReplyDeleteI also would like to invite the person sending the hateful remarks to "let it go." We all get it that you are upset with David and that YOU think he is shit and that apparently YOU have some beef YOU just refuse to let go. But I would argue that by hanging on to your anger and hate, you are just making yourself more miserable - less happy than you would be if you simply moved on. Your anger probably makes you more miserable than David and will ultimately just eat you up. I think those of us who like David and enjoy reading this blog are suffering probably even more than he is.
